EH: Emani Hears
Esthetique : The philosophy or appreciation of beauty
CEO/owner of Brooklyn NY based, vegan, skin care company, EH Esthetique (EHE), Emani’s philosophy of beauty preservation and skincare is based on growing up in a Jamaican home, wherein natural remedies are how most things are cured, or healed. The women in her family taught her that the simplest ingredients can do the magic, without tons of chemicals that cause skin irritations, breakouts, and/or illness.
Inspired by her lifelong struggle with eczema, and sensitive skin, Emani began making and testing skincare products on herself in 2016. However, in the beginning of 2020, she had her most challenging eczema flare up, which left behind many dark blemishes that simply wouldn't go away. Additionally, she became very insecure about the blemishes to the extent of no longer wearing short sleeve shirts, shorts or even a bathing suit. Over the course of a few months, Emani consulted various doctors hoping to find a solution. One doctor prescribed pills, and another prescribed a steroid cream, however, neither worked. Determined to reclaim her body confidence, she began researching various natural remedies, herbs, oils, and more.
The first official product that came out of Emani’s research is the G L O W Scrub, which is EHE’s most popular product. She began using the scrub to exfoliate her body a few times per week, with special attention to the blemishes, and over time she began to see great progress—she ultimately fell in love with her body all over again.
A classically trained dancer for well over 15 years, Emani has always taken great pride in caring for her body, by way of consistent exercise and staying active. However, this journey made her specifically focus on catering to, and loving on, her skin.
After a soft launch introduction to family, friends, her immediate network and consumers at local pop up shops, Emani now aims to help others preserve and/or reclaim their beauty powered by EHE’s 100% pure and organic ingredients.
